Defending Functions are training exercises which are tasked at developing players/teams proficiency in defensive situations. Defensive functions may involve whole team or individual unit defending & may or may not involve tactical information specific to a teams defensive shape. Specific defensive coaching is an area of the game which is often under-appreciated in team development despite the obvious value of instilling strong defensive qualities in players.
